President's Report
Dear OACP Members & Friends,
We hope that this email finds you well. Can you believe we are already gearing up for the end of the season and summer break? Here are some events we are looking forward to, as well as some of the most recent updates from the OACP Board.
· 2025 Annual Conference with Christina McGhee – Extension on Early Bird Registration, May 2, 2025.
The OACP board has approved an extension for early bird registration through the end of March. If you haven’t already signed up, please make sure to register before March 31 for a $25 discount. You don’t have to be a member to receive the discount. Please share this invitation to the 2025 Annual Conference with your professional groups and colleagues. 6 CE credits offered for this event.
This year, the OACP is proud to present Christina McGhee, author of Raising Mentally Strong Kids and Parenting Apart as our speaker and trainer for the 2025 Annual Conference. Christina will provide our multidisciplinary group of family law professionals with a child-focused training on "Transforming Conflict into Cooperation: Creative tools for using a child-centered approach with separated and divorced parents."
Are you a professional who wants to change divorce for the better? Then you will benefit from this training.
What Will I Learn?
-Strategies that can shift perspectives and put children in the center (not the middle) of the divorce.
-Discover new ways to guide your clients towards rebuilding their families for long-term success.
-Add value to your practice and revolutionize the way you work with your clients.
The presentation will include a showing of the film Split Up the Teen Years, a film about divorce and its long-term impact on children. This training offers a unique opportunity that combines a film screening with training from a renowned co-parenting specialist. We hope that you will not pass up this opportunity.
- NEW Student Ticket! -- The OACP is now offering a half-priced student ticket. Please share this information with students and instructors. $150 (through March 31 with early bird discount); $162.50 (after March 31).
