Kenneth Goodin

Ken is an experienced Family Law litigator, mediator, and Collaborative Law attorney, who is deeply devoted to his clients and takes a personal interest in each case.  "People going through a difficult divorce or custody battle can get frustrated with the 'system.'  The assistance of an attorney who cares about what happens to them is important.  Someone who can explain the process and keep things moving forward," he says.  "I work hard to move clients past their difficulties, so that they can get on with their lives.  It makes me feel good when I can lift that burden from their shoulders."  Ken has a proven ability to keenly assess each client's situation, and tailor an approach best suited to a successful outcome whether through mediation, collaboration, or litigation.

Ken is a partner at Philips, Traylor, Myers & Goodin, LLP, where his practice focuses on the constructive resolution of family disputes through mediation and collaborative approaches.  Many people think that contested litigation through the courts is the only option to resolve family disputes.  But mediation and collaborative approaches offer an alternative to the emotionally and financially draining contested litigation process.  This non-adversarial approach allows folks to resolve family disputes on their own terms, with the ability to come up with creative and meaningful solutions that are in the best interests of the family.

A native Oregonian, Ken worked his way through law school as a law clerk at the Eugene law firm of Jaqua & Wheatley, where he gained valuable hands-on experience managing complex insurance defense cases.  After graduating law school, Ken moved to Bend to work for the State of Oregon Employment Department as an Unemployment Insurance Adjudicator before joining Stahancyk, Kent & Hook  P.C. in 2007, where he was a shareholder from 2015 to 2023.
