Tonya's practice is devoted exclusively to helping families achieve a peaceful resolution of their differences without going to court. She utilizes conflict resolution skills and methods of alternative dispute resolution such as the collaborative family law model, mediation & co-mediation, and hourly legal coaching for self-represented parties (unbundled services) and assistance with document filing. Tonya also strongly recommends using an team approach where needed (see sections on Financial Experts and Coaches) to maximize each family's likelihood of success in the process, long term wellness for children and parties, and improvement in co-parenting communication. Tonya has participated in many collaborative trainings and mediation trainings starting in 2007 as well as an intensive 5 day training with master mediator Woody Mosten in Los Angeles. Tonya has over 20 years of experience working exclusively in the area of family law. She also has experienced divorce personally and has three kids ranging from age 3 to 14. During the evenings and weekends, you’re likely to find Tonya at a baseball field, gym, or football field depending on the season.
