Lisa Ward

I have specialized in Family Law for nearly ten years and am passionate about alternative dispute resolution. I was first introduced to Collaborative Law by Forrest “Woody” Mosten during law school. He transformed my understanding of the law by showing me attorneys can be more than advocates—they can be peacemakers. I have continued to train with him throughout my career. I am dedicated to continuously improving myself and my practice so I can better serve my community.

I know firsthand the emotional and financial toll of litigation. I saw this not only as a child watching my parents, but also as I worked my way up to partner at a major Family Law firm. Once I had my own children, I dedicated myself to exclusively doing work that aligns with my values, and that is why I started Kindred Collaborative Law & Mediation. I strive to keep families from experiencing unnecessary stress and heartache by keeping them out of court whenever possible.

I enjoy learning about and teaching methods of conflict resolution. I believe that helping families successfully navigate difficult transitions makes the world a better place, and that is what motivates me to do this challenging and rewarding work. I am available to assist families with Collaborative Law, mediation, and unbundled legal services remotely throughout Washington and Oregon as well as in person in Bend.
